Memorial Day 2012

For Memorial Day, we got to go to a park with a playground and have a picnic together.  It was a great day!  Here's Grace, relaxing in the shade.

Chris definitely enjoyed being outside.

Chris is a budding photographer.  He grabbed the camera and took this picture.

Goofing around on "jungle gym Dad."

Wearing Dad's shades...

How Grace spent much of the afternoon...snoozing.

Chris was checking out the folks kayaking in Clear Creek (in Golden).

Grace is here!

We have a new birthday to celebrate in the family!  Grace Antoinette arrived on Monday, April 30th at 9:01am.  She weighed 7lb 10oz and was 20 inches long.  Though a bit traumatizing, Brian got to witness her birth firsthand.  They lowered the blue curtain during the C-section so Brian could see her being lifted out of me.  Here she is, about 5 seconds old!

About 10 minutes old now, all wrapped up and being held by Mom in the OR.

Christopher's first introduction to his sister.  He kept stroking her head and as he talked to her, Grace would turn her head to his voice.  Very sweet.
Kisses.  Just melts your heart.

This was the first time Chris got to hold her.  He was on cloud nine.

Classic reaction.  Grace was getting her first check-up by the Pediatrician and letting everyone know she has a healthy set of lungs.
Nice and alert.
Checking out her tiny feet.

Hint of a smile.

Grace, we are madly in love with you and so excited to have you here!
