| So, we got to take Christopher ice skating for the first time today. Brian was out on the ice with him and I was the too-pregnant-to-be-on-the-ice photographer. Chris was out on the lake once before, but just scooting around in his boots. This time, he got laced up in ice skates. |

| Chris was really unsure about the ice skates at first, wobbling around as he walked. |
 |
| At first, he enjoyed playing in the nearby snowbank more than actually being on the ice. He particularly liked sliding down the snow on his stomach. |
 |
| Then we got him a cone to hold on to, and this seemed to help his confidence. |
 |
| Very quickly, he got the hang of it and was skating on his own several feet at a time. |
 |
| So proud of him! |

| Chris had a lot of fun - what a great day! |
