2nd Birthday Party!
A jam session to get the party started...
How many kids does it take to open one gift?Mmmm...Nillas...my "aunt" Heather sure knows the way to my heart...
Singing to the birthday boy...
Almost figured out how to blow out the candles...
Chocolate icing everywhere...
Even aunt Meg got to be at the party (all the way from Illinois!)...
Some quiet Play-Doh time...
Goofin' around with Daddy...
If I sit on this balloon and try really hard, perhaps I can get it to make that loud POP noise...
Happy Birthday, Christopher! We love you!
March 25, 2010 - Christopher's 2nd Birthday!
Christopher had a great, great birthday! He slept in a little, woke up happy and was truly joyful the whole day! The three of us got to spend the day together - opening presents, relaxing and playing. Doesn't get much better than that...
We started opening presents pretty early in the day. He loves paints!
And he got another guitar shirt to add to his summer collection (always a hit)...Ripping the paper is at least half the fun...
Another guitar shirt - how lucky am I?
A very cool Crayola toy that makes music while you color a picture (perfect for this guy)...
His first Play-Doh experience turned out to be a big hit...
My very own sandbox... just need some warm weather and sand (or actually, it's really fun as is!).

Snack time for Elmo
Yes, that is a goldfish cracker in Elmo's mouth. Christopher was kind enough to "share" his snack by giving Elmo a goldfish and telling him to "take a bite," after which the goldfish was rescued from Elmo's mouth and eaten by Christopher. That was cute and harmless. Sharing his milk, on the other hand, required some clean up.
Lunch up high
Yesterday, for lunch, he did NOT want to sit in his high chair and he did NOT want to sit at his "big boy table." He really wanted to sit on the bar stool chair. So...he pushed the bar stool chair around the island (to the opposite side of where it should be) and then pushed his little blue chair up next to it as a stepladder and climbed right up. Happy as could be, eating his grilled cheese and drinking his milk. Who were we to stop him?

Bikin'
He had gotten the tricycle for Christmas and the helmet was supposed to be a birthday gift, but it was just so nice out yesterday, that we (Mom and Dad) couldn't resist opening it a bit early to go for a ride. He hasn't quite gotten the hang of the pedals yet, but he does love flying down the slope of our driveway.
